The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce had a busy month in June hosting a golf tournament and ribbon cuttings at Flat Branch Bank and Ideal Apartments. The 2024 Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament was held at Shirkey Golf Course last Saturday. “It was a great success, and even more fun,” said Chamber Director Troy Rust. “We are thankful for all our team participants, our sponsors and the many volunteers, who with Shirkey’s personnel, helped to make the tournament a success.” The Flight A first place winner was Kevin Matson’s team, while Troy Rust’s team took second. The flight B first place winner was Rob Jones’ team, and Drew Gill’s team took the second-place spot. In other chamber news, Flat Branch Bank held a re-grand opening and ribbon cutting on June 18. On Tuesday Ideal Apartments hosted an open house and ribbon cutting.
