STILL LEADING Brylee Castilleja and Adilyn Swope continue to pace Richmond in scoring in middle school A-team girls basketball.
The twosome led the Spartans in backto- back games to cap last week. On Dec. 7, Swope poured in 18 points and Castilleja added 15 to help the Spartans cruise to a 46-25 road win over Holden – one of two middle school ballgames between Richmond and Holden. Richmond’s B-team fell to Holden 2019 in overtime. Danika Richardson and Molly Renfro scored six points each to lead the Richmond B-teamers, and Lilly Haak paced Holden with seven.
On Dec. 8, Castilleja led the Spartans with 12 points, followed by Swope with four, in Richmond’s 34-20 home loss to North Platte. Addison Skala paced the Panthers with 12 points and Farrah Williams contributed 10.
