H-C graduates take the stage
Hardin-Central (H-C) High School celebrated its graduating seniors with a ceremony and presentation of awards.
H-C staff also graduated Dalton Lee Thacker, a student who passed away unexpectedly in 2020 by suicide.
This year, Thacker would have walked among his peers and the H-C school administration provided a diploma in honor of he and his family.
“It meant a lot to me and the H-C School District. We hope it helped the Thacker family truly continue with their process of honoring Dalton and his life’s big moments even though he is not here,” said H-C High School Principal Wiliam Dow.
H-C Superintendent Dr. Trey Cavanah announced 2023 Class President Ben Barentt, who shared what it meant to be an H-C senior.
“We should be pretty proud of ourselves because we are standing on this stage together. We made it and made it together – that’s all that matters,” Barnett added.
