Guest speaker talks synthetic marijuana, more
To inform local adults and parents about synthetic marijuana, flavored products, edibles and more, the Ray County Coalition (RCC) teamed up with the First Baptist Church of Richmond and guest speaker Jennifer Rhoad of Smithville Community in Action.
RCC’s mission is to develop unified strategies that reduce substance use among youth, according to www.raycountycoalition. com.
RCC President Sharon Donat and Rhoad’s presentation discussed risky behaviors in teens, why we should care, adolescent brain maturation, marijuana use, strategies, synthetic marijuana, retail density, packaging, availability, and how to reach out to your local coalitions.
