NHC ‘ready to surprise the world’
In Week 4 of the varsity 8-man football season, Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) showed it could take away the football.
Often. In Week 5, the Aggies want to show their defense can compete with undefeated Braymer/Breckenridge’s pass-oriented offense.
NHC (2-2) will face the Bobcats (4-0) at 7 p.m. Friday at Braymer. Led by junior quarterback Jordan Haley, the Bobcats can put up points, NHC coach Andrew Watson acknowledged.
“Jordan Haley’s … an awesome quarterback,” Watson said Tuesday near the end of practice at Hardin-Central. “(The) kid sees the field really well and can run. And then, they (have) just got a great stable of wide receivers – (a) bunch of really fast kids and a bunch of track kids. … We know … we have our work cut out for us, but we also have a lot of faith in our guys and how hard they work. … We’re young, but we have a lot of hungry kids, and they’re going to come out and … play their hearts out.”
Facing the Bobcats is “definitely going to be something new,”…
