Ideal opens recycling structure
Taking into consideration the community’s wants and the opportunities it would bring, Ideal Industries Incorporated (iii) opened a new and improved recycling center on Wednesday.
Heather Pugh, executive director of the Richmond nonprofit organization, _____________________ declared the opening an “exciting time.”
Funded through Mid America Regional Council (MARC) and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Pugh said iii teamed up with Show-Me Construction of Richmond, who built the structure. “I wrote a grant and this topic was an ongoing discussion about how to get the recycling center improved,” she said. “Not having a structure has limited the items we can accept. We want to provide a place where different items can be collected and in a community that wants to recycle.”
Before the new recycling structure, Pugh said there were only fenced-in spots that accepted unwanted items.
The nonprofit can now collect the following items: Clothing Shredded paper Aluminum
