Romulus Davis named Officer of the Year
Honoring officers will be a new tradition according to Richmond Police Interim Chief Scott Bagley. During a recent Richmond City Council meeting, Bagley gave recognition, rewarded and promoted officers.
“One of the things I wanted to institute when I took over was awarding and recognizing officers for the things they do. I am overwhelmed by the support this evening,” he said.
Consented by Mayor Mike Wright, the council, Bagley honored five promotions and multiple officers for their work.
Bagley promoted Brandon Ray to lieutenant, Luke Covey to sergeant, Cody Davis to corporal, Aaron Adkins to detective and Romulus Davis to school resource officer.
After the promotions were announced, a badge-pinning ceremony was held, allowing family members to pin the new badges on the promoted officers.
