Bearcats crush Wildcats; Harbison gets first victory at Orrick
Chris Harbison got a thrill the night of Nov. 30.
That thrill resulted from Orrick cruising to a 56-20 win over visiting Southwest of Livingston County – his first win as Orrick’s varsity boys basketball coach.
“It’s exciting, yeah,” Harbison said. “But … we knew it was coming. We (have) got a good team. It wasn’t something that was on my mind too much. I knew that we were going to put the pieces together and get one here sooner, rather than later. But it’s always good to get it done and have something positive to build on.”
Harbison saw more than one positive against Southwest.
“We definitely did a better job of stopping the ball, limiting dribble penetration,” he said. “Our shot selection definitely cleaned up as the game went along. We continue to get better at sharing the basketball and making good decisions.”
