Youngster sells lemonade to raise money for HSRC

Recently, while Ray County citizens were roaming the streets of Richmond during the citywide garage sale, Raider Johnson was hosting a lemonade stand outside his home. The 6-year-old boy Dear Elementary student was selling lemonade to raise money for a cause he and his family support – the Humane Society of Ray County (HRSC) and its Operation SNIP program. He raised $210 for the program. “We have been volunteering as a family with HSRC for a little over a year,” said his mother, Jessica. “He wanted to have a lemonade stand during our garage sale, and then we came up with the idea of donating some of the money to an organization or charity. And since we see how much and how far the HSRC runs on donations, he decided to donate to the ‘animal shelter,’ as he calls it.” The family – also consisting of father, Reggie, and brothers, Jace and Jax – frequently goes to the HCRC facility in Richmond to see and spend quality time with the animals there. “Raider especially likes walking Blu…
